Time-One's most valuable possesion

TIME - Are we truly utilizing our time wisely???. Some might say YES some might say NO..My question is for all the NO's...WHY???

Let me share with you a story of a boy of Class 12 from a middle class family. He was excellent in his studies and was his parent's obedient boy..He had a goal in his life and wanted to do something for himself and his parents. But life always brings with us different surprises. The boy was detected with a deadly disease named CANCER and he had few days left with him. For him there were lots of task to be done, goals to be  accomplished, dreams to be fulfilled. His parents tried every possible way to save him, but all went in vain. It was his last stage. He said to himself " I might have limited time for myself but in this limited time I will do wonder and go away from this beautiful world."

Saying this to himself he started writing a book on his life. By the time the book got published he left this earth for a new journey. The book got recognition and became a sensation between the youths. Though he was no more but he was in the heart of the people through his book. Also, his book became the source of income for his family.

MORAL: Utilize your time wisely..Life is precious..Enjoy your life but without the help of addictive things like drug, alcohol..Do good to yourself and also do good to others..

Why do we wish GOOD NIGHT to someone..Just to remind the person that next morning when we get up we have to do great work to bring glory to yourself and to your motherland....

Story of FRIENDSHIP..

Once there were two friends TENSION and PROBLEM.Their friendship was very strong. Like JAI and VEERU in SHOLAY, wherever they go, they go together hand-in-hand. They enjoyed their companion very much. Their favorite hobby was to visit different places and meet different people. Wherever they go they carry with them lots of gifts like misunderstanding, ego, hatred, chaos and so on....

They wanted to rule the world until one day another two friends joined them named SOLUTION and OPPORTUNITY. Gradually four of them them became very good friends. Four of them set for their destination to meet new people. But surprisingly some people didn't welcome SOLUTION and OPPORTUNITY, they only gave importance to TENSION and PROBLEM resulting in unhappiness and worry. But those who welcome four of them marked an example for others. They reached different heights in life and made way for their success..

MORAL: Problem will come..Tensions will always be there but we will have to make a way for it. Don't let yourself flow with the tension. Wherever there will be a problem. there will be a solution..Every problem comes with a solution just like Maths. Every question has an answer.
FIND THE SOLUTION AND CREATE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOURSELF...

I Believe in Myself...

I was in search of identity..I asked myself : WHO AM I ???

Why did Almighty sent me to this beautiful place called Earth..Only to listen what others say .. No..I am here for some reason.. In-fact everyone of us are here because of some reason, but we often fail to identify that reason. I promised myself and my Almighty that I will find that reason. The reason to live, the reason to smile.
I failed to find the reason but I didn't let it go. I tried again and again I failed. I failed many times but I didn't lose hope because "I BELIEVE in MYSELF."
I said to myself " You are strong, You cannot fail,I have full faith on you, Nobody can stop you." These positive words made me more positive and it gave me an extra energy to try again and again until I came to know the reason.
Yes, now I know the reason. I am here to change lives...
I have set my goal..GET SET GO.....

You are the best Wife- A true love story by author Ajay Kr. Pandey

How many you are fond of reading love stories??? I am fond of love stories..Every person has their own way of expressing their love to their loved ones.. Some has a filmy style (like me) to express their love whereas some fail to find any words to express love..But LOVE is LOVE...It can expressed in any form..
For some it requires a single day to express their LOVE..for some it takes years by...
Love can happen to any one..
Love has no boundaries...
Love teaches a person to live for others..

Same has happened with Ajay Kr Pandey and Bhavna Pradhan....
Two different person with dissimilarity and totally different ideology..

Yes, I am talking about the book "YOU ARE THE BEST HUSBAND" by the author Mr. Ajay Kr Pandey. This book is based on the true love story of the author Ajay Kr Pandey and Bhavna Pradhan. It is a story about how people find true love and comfort in dissimilarities; about how two people with absolutely different ideologies meet and fall in love. The author has written his heart out in this book. The story is about their struggle from the day Ajay saw Bhavna for the first time till their marriage and that too in a humorous way. This book is an inspiration for all the people in LOVE.

Ajay Kr Pandey-(Brahman by birth) belonged from a conservative family and as a student was very confused who himself doesn't know what he want to do in his life. Following the old age path of Engineering he also joined  the race and worked hard for getting admissions into an IIT but landed up at IERT(Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology, Allahabad). There he happened to meet Bhavna Pradhan and fallen in love with her.

Bhavna Pradhan (Kayastha by birth) was an independent girl and knew what she wanted from her life. By nature she was totally opposite to Ajay.

The book starts with great humour- right from first day of the college, hostel ragging, the fresher's party, the coaching class, Ajay's approaching style to Bhavna, his proposal, accepting the proposal, convincing their parents for their marriage till their marriage.

The middle part of the story which was convincing their parents for their marriage reminds me of the movie "2 states"(you will come to know when you will read the book).

All was going well with Ajay and Bhavna until Bhavna got infected with dengue fever which reached its severity and left Ajay halfway through their journey. Ajay broke from inside but the last words of Bhavna "YOU ARE THE BEST HUSBAND" created an innate strength in him which inspired him to live on.

Though their love story had a tragic ending but each and every phrase and sentence used by Bhavna was very very inspiring. She lived in moments and not in days or years. She taught Ajay to live for others. Ajay wrote this book to immortalize the memories of Bhavna in the heart of many readers.

"There are two kinds of personalities. There are those who have everything and still complains as if they have nothing. And there are those who lose everything and act like life has given them everything. Sometimes both these personalities exists in the same soul. Kill the first one, I love the first one. "- An inspiring paragraph by Bhavna.

Road trip to Bhutan Part II- Phuentsholing to Thimpu

Hope my readers have enjoyed my earlier post.  Well let me continue with my journey from Phuentsholing to Thimpu.....

On 14th April 2016 we halted in Phuentsholing and enjoyed the evening there. For entering Thimpu individual passes are to be obtained as well as vehicle pass.

Next day morning we hurried for the permit. The immigration office which issues the permit for Thimpu and Paro opens at 9.30 am. This pass permitted to enter only the Thimphu and Paro regions of Bhutan. To travel further inside Bhutan you need to again get the permit for other locations separately from Thimphu. Immigration forms are available in the office itself.

Documents to be carried for individual pass:
 1) Photocopy of Voter I-card/Passport
 2) 2 copies of Passport photo

After obtaining the individual pass it was mandatory to obtain car pass as well.  For obtaining the car pass we had to go to Road & Safety department (RSTA) which was a kilometer away from the immigration office.

One interesting instance, we were lost in finding the RSTA office. But the people over there are so friendly and helpful. We just asked a local taxi driver about the route to RSTA office, he asked us to follow his car and helped us to reach the office. It was just a kilometer away from the immigration office and we were moving here and there, round and round finding the office.

After reaching RSTA we came to know that pollution certificate is also required and Bhutan Government follows a strict policy and it’s a mandate. And we didn’t have pollution certificate. We were so disappointed. But we didn’t give up. We crossed the border and tried to find any local office in Jaigaon that issues the pollution certificate. We were struggling here and there and finally we got one and it took around half an hour to issue the certificate. Huuuffff…!!! What a relief. But our struggle wasn’t yet over, we had to rush back to RSTA as it would close down by 3.00 pm and it was already 2.00 pm. We reached there by 2.20 and finally with all documents in hand we filled up the form for the car permit. They follow a certain procedure before issuing the car permit:

An officer checked all our documents – our individual permits, Voter I card, Original Car documents then she signed the form and directed us to the cash counter to pay a certain amount for the permit(the amount depends upon the size of the vehicle), our was Alto K10 so the amount we had to pay was Rs. 234 and with the receipt we went to collect our main permit and finally after the hue and rush the permit was in our hand.

Documents to be carried for the pass:
1) Individual permits
2)  Photocopy of the RC
3) Insurance copy
3)Pollution certificate copy
4) Driver’s license copy.

Note: Their lunch timing is from 1.00 to 2.00 pm. And no pass will be given after 3.00 pm.

We had our lunch in a local restaurant there and without wasting  any more time we headed towards Thimpu. We started at around 3.00 pm. It’s just 172 km to Thimpu from Phuentsholing which normally takes 2-3 hours in plain road but as it’s a hilly place we estimated it would take around 5 – 6 hours. Our excitement level was high. At a point we lose our hopes as we didn’t had our pollution certificate but “WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY”- it’s proved.

There were six checkpoints where they check all the documents and permits.

After crossing 1 -3 km our phones stopped working “SERVICE UNAVAILABLE.” Google map also stopped working so what we did, whenever we saw any local person walking on the road or any local shop we stopped and inquired whether we were going in the right direction and the above route direction board mentioned in the picture helped us a lot.

                                                       Pic: View of Phuentsholing city

It was a sunny day in Phuentsholing but after travelling after 1 hour what we saw infront of us the road was covered with fog, we could see nothing, we slowed down our speed and taking God’s name we proceeded towards it and entered the foggy area. We were surprised to find that the vehicles don’t blow horns even in the highway. We had to keep our eyes and ears alert.

                                                                      Pic: Foggy road

We were going up and up..From one mountain to another..Ohhh my God, it was like we  were swinging on the clouds. We had never seen such beauty..

Pic: Road to Thimpu

It was growing dark and still 100 kms left, we two alone on an unknown highway. We were little bit scared and my husband said to me " Lets go back." I said, "Are you mad, we have traveled almost 80 kms, we won't back out." Showing some courage we continued our journey.  Then comes a check point where the officials checked all our documents. Here where the permits came into action. Checking was done and we were allowed to go.

We noticed that a tourist cab stopped and the driver was dealing with the officials with the documents of his tourists. My husband heard them, they were also going to Thimpu. We then decided to follow to the car. After some kilometer there was another check point. After the work done we halted for a while for some refreshment as the other car also halted. We didn't spoke to the driver of the other car but he came to know that we were following his car. He was so generous, he started his car and halted at the point we halted and said to us, "Follow my car." We were overwhelmed by his generosity.

We crossed another 4 check point. At the final check point there was a diversion, one way goes to Thimpu and the other way goes to Paro. The distance was almost same from the point. Our destination was slowly and slowly coming nearer.

And finally, we were on top of the world when we saw the gate "WELCOME TO THIMPU."
We felt as if we won a gold medal in the Olympics. We came out of the car and shouted out of excitement and happiness. We also thanked the driver. We clicked some photos as well. It was 7.30 pm and hotel was already booked and taking the help of the local people there we reached our hotel. The city looked so beautiful at night.

After checking in we ordered for a cup of tea. My husband hold my hand and said two words "THANK  YOU." I said," Why Thank you???." He said,"This Thank You is for the faith you showed in me, for the support and for the courage."

Road trip to BHUTAN from GUWAHATI

Road to BHUTAN-

Today I am going to share my adventurous road journey from GUWAHATI to BHUTAN.
********************************************************************************

My husband likes hilly places and I love beaches. The trip to Bhutan was totally his idea. He himself did all the findings, printed out the route and maps using GOOGLE MAP. I was totally unaware of this. I was thinking that two more families would be also joining us. But on 12th April 2017, I got to know that only we two would be going. Hearing this my reaction was, " Oh my GOD,this is a very very bad idea.I will not go. Lets's go to some known place like Kerela or Goa." I denied for the trip saying that it would be dangerous and nobody from our known source have traveled to Bhutan through road. But he was over excited for this trip and just asked me one question ," Do you trust me??"Huh...gathering come courage I said YES for the trip...

Well this was the madness of my loving Husband..Now let me brief about the journey>>>>>

*********************************************************************************
THE JOURNEY -

“14th April 2016” at around 9.30 am we started off to Bhutan from Guwahati on our Alto K10 vxi. Our partner for the whole trip was Google map. Thanks to Google map and Vodafone network.

We took the way through Saraighat Bridge crossing the mighty Brahmaputra. Then we crossed Mirza and reached Chaygaon, a small town in Kamrup district. Then we entered Goalpara district through Highway 17 and reached Agia. The roads leading to our destination was smooth enough and we didn't find any difficulty during our journey.

                                                         Pic: Road to Goalpara:

Without entering the Goalpara city from Agia we proceeded towards Bongaigaon district. Agia -> Jogighopa(through Naranarayan Setu) -> Abhayapuri -> North Salmara -> Bongaigaon Civil Hospital. We entered Bongaigaon city as it was the shortcut to touch the highway to Chirang district. We halted in Bongaigaon city for a while and had our lunch.

Then we started our journey again. From Chirang District we entered West Bengal through Srirampur gate and then we headed towards Alipurduar through Highway 31C, then Gossaingaon=> Hasimara through highway 317 and reached the town named Jaigaon in West Bengal which is the border town to Bhutan. We were little bit scared when we were passing by Hasimara as we had to cross a forest. The forest area was about 1 km - 2 km. My husband increased the speed of our car as dusk was falling rapidly. We were relaxed to see a small board " State Bank of India welcome you to Jaigaon." What a sense of relief.

At around 5.30 we reached Jaigaon. And guess what we were standing infront of the Indo-Bhutan Border gate. Near the gate stands a board which said "WELCOME TO THE ROYAL KINGDOM OF BHUTAN." Ohhhhhh myyyyyyy God.... Actually we were going to enter Bhutan. We did it.....It just can't be explained in words what we were feeling at that time.

                                                     Pic: Indo-Bhutan border gate

Time to enter Bhutan. At the border gate there is no requirement for any permit. The town which touched the Indo-Bhutan border is Phuentsholing. Our first word entering Bhutan was "Waooohhhhh" We were lost in our emotions of joy and happiness. We were speechless seeing the beauty and cleanliness of the town. Suddenly one of our phone rang and we were amazed to find the Indian Telecom network working in Phuentsholing. It was already 6'o clock in the evening and Hotel was already booked by my husband. Somehow we managed to find our hotel and checked in. The people out there were so helpful. A peaceful and happy atmosphere existed in Phuentsholing.

Some notable points: No vehicles horns are allowed in Bhutan and no overtaking of vehicles.

It was an 8 hour journey. Though from inside I was a little bit scared but when we saw the board which said " WELCOME TO THE ROYAL KINGDOM OF BHUTAN" our happiness knew no limits.

       *****************************************************************************
Well this was our journey from Guwahati to Phuentsholing. Hope my readers have enjoyed reading it.Stay tuned to my blog for experiencing my adventurous journey from Phuentsholing to Thimpu and Paro, the two beautiful cities of Bhutan.

My Inner Voice

Everyday I wake up in the morning I feel miserable by the thought of going to office..I use to tell myself " Why am I doing this. I don't like my job. I want to quit my job." But my responsibilities towards my family stopped me from doing this..I was scared..It was an unknown fear which was pushing me into depression.Negative thoughts surrounded my mind like a cloudy weather..I started feeling helpless and lonely.I started hating myself.

I arrive to work lifeless, zero enthusiasm and afraid to listen to my inner voice. I started cheating on myself by pretending to be the happiest person. I stand in-front of the mirror and dance on high beat music in full volume. I started wearing high definition make-up so as to cover up my dull face. But the make-up also didn't helped much to cover up my emotions.

I SECRETLY LONGED FOR FREEDOM..

Though my better-half was trying his best to support me and motivate me but that unknown fear was following me like a shadow..One day after returning from office I sat in one corner and started crying as if I haven't cried for years.

Suddenly, I heard a voice which said " Why are you doing this to you. It's your life. Because of some jerks you are underestimating yourself. You have a bright future but you are losing faith on yourself. How will your parents, your better-half feel if they see you in this condition.??  It's you who can change your destiny..You are a strong woman. See the positive side of yourself. It's not the end. Realise your capabilities, believe in yourself and go forward in life.."

IT WAS MY INNER VOICE..

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and said to myself " Enough of this. Why should I let down my self-confidence for some jerks who doesn't value me and my work. I will live my life the way I want."

I decided to quit the job. I want to be who I am. I want to live my dreams. So what if people say " I am taking a wrong decision." Its my life. I am the owner of my own life. I started seeing the positive side of life and trying to find opportunities in every difficulties keeping aside all my fear. Fear has no place in my life anymore. I have also started focusing more on what I want than what I don't.

I have set some goals for myself and with the support of my parents and family I have set the path that leads to my goal. I chose to follow my heart and listen to my inner voice.

Family or Career

“My family comes first. Maybe that’s what makes me different from other guys.”– Bobby Darin

Yes, I have left my settled job and shifted to a small town from a capital city for my Husband. So what if people say " Are you foolish, you have left such such a good position for your husband." I say " Yes, I am foolish as my first priority is my HUSBAND." If my husband - my family is with me I can overcome any obstacles that comes my way..

My Husband is my strength..my family is my strength..

My life has given me two choices FAMILY or CAREER...I chose family. My family comes first then my Career. My organisation will miss me one day but my family misses me everyday..Some better person can take over my position in the organisation but no one can replace my position in my family..For me once the moment with my family if gone will never come back..and with my family's well wishes and prayers I can start my career once again because I believe "It's never too late."

A gift to someone special

FEBRUARY, the month of LOVE....

14th February, Valentine's Day - the day of LOVE celebrated worldwide where we show feelings of LOVE, EMOTIONS & FRIENDSHIP.

Preparations for this day starts right from the beginning of the month. We use to spend hours in selecting gifts for the special one. Every year we wanted to gift something special for the special person on this special day.

Now, my questions is who else on earth are more special than our PARENTS ???.. Those parents who have worked hard, working hard to make our dreams come true, those parents who have spend sleepless nights for us, those parents who loves us unconditionally. How many of us have wished their parents "Happy Valentine's Day."

Valentine's Day is the day of Love- Love for Parents, Love for Friends, Love for the person we love.
Our parents need nothing from us but some sweet words from us. They share their happiness with us but don't share their sorrows or tensions. Can't we gift them a RED ROSE showing them how much they are special for us.

I have done it. Though I couldn't wish them physically but after wishing my better-half I have immediately called them and wished them over phone and gave lots and lots of kisses. I can't express in words how happy they were. Seeing them happy I too was happy and satisfied.

Let us do something special for our parents - to make them feel that they are the most important person of our lives.

MAA

Maa- Mom-Amma-Mummy-Mother
A relationship full of LOVE, full of sacrifices, full of emotions.

Maa, the most precious gift of Almighty. The most important person of our life.

The only person who use to get up early for us, prepared food for us, tries her best possible ways to keep us happy, who always keep a smile on her face even if she is crying from inside.

Words are nothing to describe the love and affection of you MAA....

Let's start our day thanking Almighty for gifting us with such a lovely relation called MAA and such lovely parents.

See opportunities through difficulties....

A Helping Hand

Friends today I am going to share an incident with you which I suddenly remembered and I felt so happy and satisfied remembering that day.
It goes back to my MBA days. One fine sunny Sunday I came down to town for some shopping as I used to stay in University hostel and my University was 25 kms from the main town.

Morning I didn't had my breakfast as it was a very boring one so I planned to have it in the town. As I reached, I tried to find a good restaurant for breakfast but as it was 10.00 am in the morning the restaurants were just opening for the day.

Ah, I was very hungry. Suddenly a nice bakery shop caught my eye. I entered the shop, sat on a table and ordered for a coffee and a sandwich. I ordered for whatever was available at that moment. The shop was full with other customers also. Some were having tea, some were packing biscuits for their family.

Then I saw a sweet little girl sitting right beside me. She came with her grandfather and mother. I talked with that sweet little girl until the coffee and sandwich reached my table. While I was enjoying my super-hot coffee and delicious sandwich I noticed an old lady peeping inside the bakery. Her clothes were dirty and worn off and she had a little dirty bag with her. Her hairs were messy and she had no shoes to wear. It seems she had no house to live in.

The way she was carrying her eyes through all the items displayed in the food chamber, it seems she was hungry for days. No one cared to give something to that old lady. She went invisible to everyone. Seeing this it strucked my heart and I asked myself "Is this what Mom and Dad had taught me. Am I not in a position to help that poor lady with some food."

I stood up and left my food half eaten and went to that old lady to offer A HELPING HAND. I approached her and asked her to seat in the staircase of the shop and started talking to that lady. I came to know how hungry she was and she had no house to live in. I felt so pathetic. I stood up and thought for a minute what could I do for that poor lady. As a student I couldn't do much but at least I had that much of capacity to buy some food for her.

I immediately went inside the shop and bought some food for her along with a cup of tea. When I handed over the food to her I just can't explain the expression of happiness in her face. Tears rolled down her dirty cheeks. Without wasting much time she started having her food and tea with a sweet smile on her face.

Seeing my gesture towards her, the people that were present in that bakery also offered food to her. I sat beside her until she finished her food. I was observing her movement, she was having one bite, looking up to the sky and murmuring something as if she was talking to the Almighty.

I left my half-eaten food on the table. I forgot that I too was hungry. Happiness and a sense of satisfaction filled my stomach. I could see the happiness in her eyes. After she had finished I also offered her some money. At least she could have some food for the next three four days with that money. She accepted the money and placed her hand on my head and prayed for me and wished for me for my future and she went away.

That moment for me was the best moment. A moment of happiness, a moment of satisfaction, a moment of pride in my own eyes, a moment of success, a moment of fulfilment, a moment of pleasure, a moment of gratitude.

After this I left with a small amount of money in my hand and I lay my way off to my hostel with a sense of satisfaction and contentment in my heart.

It was a very small act but "This small act of kindness brings big difference in the future." Today whatever I am might be because of her small wish.

A Positive Wind

Depression and Frustration was what surrounding around me making my mind paralysed by some negative thoughts. I was broken from inside. A constant fear of failure was following me like a shadow. I don't know why am I afraid but I was afraid of something invisible. Everyday I wake up I find a reason to smile, a reason to be happy, a reason to laugh out loudly and wholeheartedly. But..... the thought of the next moment makes me feel scared.

I was a completely changed person with lots of doubt and fear in my heart although there was a constant smile in my face. My life has become nothing but a black and white portrait. Then I asked myself, " Is this the gift life has gifted me. Is this the way I will lead my life with full of negative emotions."

Enough of this. Why will I allow anyone else on Earth to rule on me and my emotions. Its my life and and I will live the way I want. I myself will colour my black and white portrait with beautiful and lively colours. Yes, it's me who can change the whole picture. "Yes I can," I said to myself.

"A POSITIVE WIND" was flowing inside me. This positivity allowed me to smile, stay happy and laugh wholeheartedly. I then realised it's all in your mind and soul that allows you to react accordingly. I have allowed my negative thoughts to capture me of which I was unknown. Now I know the real me. If you have it from inside, you can conquer any obstacle in your path and show it to the world "Who are you" and "What you can do."

I understood that I have allowed negative thoughts to empower me. Its only me. Now no more of these negativity and all. A POSITIVE WIND is all that I have inside and outside me.
